Pregnancy Care

At Wholesome Health Chiropractic, we are well versed with the physical changes that occur to the muscles, ligaments and joints during pregnancy. Dr Grace is happy to expertly assess, treat and manage you through your pregnancy journey to ensure you prevent or reduce any aches or pains that may arise along the way.

Chiropractic Care helps with:

  • Providing relief from back, pelvic and groin pain
  • Relieving fatigued and aching muscles
  • Helps prepare the pelvis for childbirth
  • Providing advice on safe exercise, stretching and positioning specific to each trimester and beyond
  • Prepare your shoulders and neck for the demands of breastfeeding

Post Natal Care

Pregnancy and childbirth certainly takes its toll on the body. Muscles have been overstretched, ligaments have been loosened and the pelvic floor often needs a refresher on how to work again. It can often be an exhausting time as not only are you looking after your baby but your body is recovering from all the changes that occurred during pregnancy. Once you have been cleared by your specialist or doctor it’s a good idea to come in for a visit. .

Dr Grace can assist with:

  • Strengthening your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles
  • Management of DRAM (abdominal separation or diastasis)
  • Providing relief for tight neck and shoulders from breast feeding
  • Assist you in returning to exercise particularly high impact activities like running and netball
